Funding Is Not a Level: How PCA and Charter Funding Work at 1991

Many 1991 DAYSHIFT families use PCA or other charter school funding. Others pay privately. At 1991, that choice is only a payment method. Funding never determines a player's level, pathway, or placement.

Why funding and level are kept separate

Every DAYSHIFT player starts with a placement decision made by a 1991 coach, not a parent-selected level. ASCEND is the development pathway and APEX is the performance pathway. PCA, other charter, and private-pay families go through exactly the same placement, and 1991 stores funding type separately from player level.

How charter enrollment works

• Submit a DAYSHIFT placement request and select PCA or your charter school as the funding type.
• Find 1991 Total Football Academy in your charter school's approved vendor directory and submit your funding request.
• Your school reviews and approves the request. Once 1991 receives the purchase order, enrollment is confirmed.
• A 1991 coach places your player in ASCEND or APEX based on assessment.
• You receive your schedule, forms, and onboarding before the first DAYSHIFT morning.

What to know before you apply

• No pricing is displayed and no payment is collected on the 1991 website for charter services.
• The school pays 1991 directly as an approved vendor, not the parent.
